Practical instructions for guests

Clara and her family are delighted to host you. To ensure a nice stay, we invite you to read this page with practical instructions on waste management and use of appliances and systems.

 

WASTE AND RECYCLING

Respect for the environment is a priority for us and we ask you to correctly separate waste for recycling, in line with the provisions in place in Cavenago di Brianza. At La Casina dei Tigli you will find all the containers you need and an adequate supply of bags to be able to easily separate and manage waste. Visuals on containers will help help you selecting the right bin.

Organic waste, paper and glass can be thrown in the condominium bins located in the courtyard as needed. Multipak and non-recyclable waste, collected in the appropriate bags, must be taken directly to the sidewalk outside the building: multipacks, on Tuesday evening (yellow bags); undifferentiated, on Friday evening (red "ecuosacco" bags).

  • Organic waste: food scraps, white paper napkins. Throw them in biodegradable bags in the white bin in the kitchen. Bring them to the brown bin in the common courtyard, when needed.

  • Paper and cardboard (dry and clean of any scraps): put them in the bin with blue cover under the canopy and throw it in the white bin in the courtyard as needed.

  • Glass: throw bottles, jars and flasks without caps in the green bin in the common courtyard when necessary.

  • Multipak: plastic containers and bottles, tetrapak, cans, PET, PVC, nylon sheets. Throw them in the dedicated container in the kitchen and inside the yellow bag in the bins in the garden, under the canopy and next to the door. Place the yellow bag directly on the sidewalk outside the building on Tuesday evening after 6pm for waste collection.

  • Non-recyclable waste: diapers, sanitary towels, used masks and gloves, butts, fabrics, shoes, etc. Throw them in the special red bag named "Ecuosacco" in the bin in the kitchen. When full, put the red bag in the bin with grey cover under the canopy. Display the red bag directly on the outside pavement on Friday evening after 6pm.

  • Paper and cardboard (dry and clean of any scraps): put them in the bin with blue cover under the canopy and throw it in the white bin in the courtyard as needed.

  • Green (leaves and branches): collect them in the green bin under the canopy and display it on the sidewalk outside the building on Sunday evening every 14 days, as listed in the calendar. The service is available in March through November.

DOMESTIC APPLIANCES

All appliances in the Casina dei Tigli are available to guests. Please report any issues to the number +39 348 7067037.

 

Washing machine

The washing machine has a maximum load of 9kg of dry laundry. Please use an anti-limescale product in addition to the detergent for each wash.

To start the washing machine set the desired program and start by pressing the start / pause button.

 

Dryer

The Hoover LinkPro dryer has a maximum capacity of 9 kg of laundry.

 

To start drying, select the desired cycle using the knob and press the start / pause button. 

Please remove the fluff from the filter each time you use the dryer.

 

To take the filter out:

  • Inside, in the lower part of the porthole: lift the filter

  • Open the filter, remove all the fluff and throw it in the "Ecuosacco" bag with non-recyclable waste. 

  • Close the filter and put it back into its seat. 

 

Air conditioners

Air conditioners can be used to cool, dehumidify or heat rooms. Please use them carefully and limit the use of the heating function as much as possible when the main heating system is running.

Boiler

The natural gas boiler in the Casina dei Tigli produces hot water and heating via radiators. In case of malfunction, notify the property at +39 3487067037 and do not try to repair it yourself.

 

Thermostat

The room thermostat is located in the corridor and is pre-set to offer a comfortable environment throughout your stay.

Wifi

The wi-fi password is given upon check-in. For your security, we ask you not to disclose it. The connection is not available when the house is not rented.

 

Smart Locker

There is a smart locker outside the apartment to deposit keys. The code for opening is communicated at check-in.
